Minding Our Biases with Anu Gupta

Episode Summary

When we think of leadership, why do so many of us immediately think of white men? To answer this question, Anu Gupta spent years analyzing biases and internalized racism, and how it exacerbates the embedded power disadvantages in our society. Through his research and work as CEO of Be More with Anu, Anu teaches people and organizations how to break biases. In this episode, he speaks with Gali about how to understand the nature of unconscious bias, the four components of systemic racism, and how mindfulness and a compassion-based approach are the first steps for change.
